Stream Alerts with StreamLabs + OBS
Share
Learn how to easily integrate Streamlabs alerts into your OBS setup to enhance your live streaming experience with engaging notifications for followers, subscribers, and more. In this tutorial we will use the Streamlabs website dashboard to set up alerts inside OBS.
Prerequisites:
- This video / tutorial assumes that you already know how to stream using OBS
- You have created an account with Streamlabs
Steps:
From the Streamlabs dashboard click Alert Box from the left menu
Our first step will be adding the alert box to OBS. We need to copy the Widget URL
- Click where it says either Copy or Click To Copy Widget URL
Now that we have the Widget URL stored in our clipboard we need to head over to OBS and add a browser source.
- Click the '+' then Browser
- Paste the Widget URL that we previously copied
- Change Width to 1920
- Change Height to 1080
- Click OK
Great! Now lets head back over to Streamlabs
- Now when you click any of the 'Test' buttons on the Streamlabs dashboard you should see the alerts in OBS
*This is good to check. If you do not see anything in OBS you have done something wrong
Now lets make sure the text is on top of our full screen alerts
- In the Layout section make sure the Text Over Image icon is selected
Now we need to select the alert type we want to change. For this example we will set up Bits
- Click Bits
Set the Layout to Text Over Image
Where it says Image we need to change the file
- Click the Select Image icon and choose the .webm or .gif stream alert from your computer
Click Save Settings
That's it! Now when you click Test Bits you should see your alerts in OBS.
Enjoy!
